MSU has an abundance of parking available on football game days. All parking locations are open at 7 a.m. for noon and 1 p.m. kickoffs, 9 a.m. for 3:30 p.m. kickoffs, 1 p.m. for Saturday evening kickoffs and 3:30 p.m. for Friday evening kickoffs. Fans are encouraged not to come before these times as traffic lineups will not be permitted.

• Beginning in 2018, public parking on Munn Field has moved to Cherry Lane Field (on the corner of Harrison Road and Shaw Lane). No vehicles will be allowed on Munn Field. Entrance to public parking at Cherry Lane ($30) can be made at Lot 70.
• All other public game-day parking for cars will be available for $20.

Priority parking permit

Season priority parking permits are available to Spartan Fund Donors. This is the best method to assure a premium parking location.

Accessible parking

Accessible parking is available in Lot 48, Natural Resource Building. Enter from Trowbridge extension off of Red Cedar or Farm Lane. Parking in this area is $20 and includes shuttle transport to the northeast corner of Spartan Stadium. The shuttle starts two hours prior to kickoff and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. Do take note that the shuttle bus returning to accessible parking is accessed from the northeast stadium gates.

RV parking

Recreational vehicle parking is available in lot 97 behind the Engineering Research Building.

• Cost is $60 per RV.
• Charter bus parking is $100.

Shuttle parking

Shuttle bus service is available from Lot 89 at the corner of Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane. The shuttle starts two hours prior to kickoff and returns for a reasonable amount of time after the game. The cost is $5 per game for a round trip ticket or $35 for a season pass. Parking is free.

“7/9/1” Tailgating Times

• When kickoff is set for noon or 1 p.m. tailgate lots will open at 7 a.m.
• If kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. tailgate lots will open at 9 a.m.
• For Saturday evening games, lots will open at 1 p.m.
• An exception to this rule is Friday evening games, when lots will open at 3:30 p.m.
• All fans are encouraged not to come before these times as traffic lineups will not be permitted.

Tailgating Sites

• Tailgating is permitted in all public parking areas on campus. There are many parking and transportation options that can make your game day more enjoyable, including shuttle buses.
• Because soil compaction endangers the long-term health of campus trees, vehicles cannot be parked on grass surfaces north of the Red Cedar River and are restricted to designated grass areas south of the Red Cedar River.

The MSU Police Department and assisting agencies do perform regular patrols of designated parking areas to respond to emergencies and enforce state statutes and university ordinances.
